Would You Like To Watch The Digital Story?

 Hello everyone,

I hope you are all well. As for me, as an ELT student, my classes this spring semester are quite busy. Both my courses have become more challenging and the number of assignments and presentations I need to complete has increased. My days are going like this, but I hope yours are fun and productive. In this post, I will share the process of creating a digital story we were given and my thoughts about the assignment. Before getting into the content, I would like to thank my partner Hümeyra Keşvelioğlu for her effort in this challenging assignment.

This week in our Material Design class, our instructor asked us to design a digital story with a partner. We choosed the task of designing a fictional story from the 3 options presented to us. We wanted our topic to be different from our classmates and decided on a theme involving mystery and horror called 'THE SISTERS OF THE ECLİPSE'. We wrote a story about two sister queens, one good and one evil, and a dragon named 'Zym' that lies between their kingdoms. I don't want to give too much information about the script🙈 because I will be sharing our video with you.

In the design process of our digital story, we used the Pixton. Thanks to Pixton, you can design digital stories, cartoons, and comics in almost any theme you want. You can add dialogues to your scenes. However, the only problem about Pixton is that we could not download the scenes we designed for free. Therefore, we took a screenshot and combined them in iMovie. To add sound effects, we used ElevenLabs and Pixabay, which perform voiceovers with artificial intelligence. Using them, you can choose voices suitable for your character, make adjustments in voice toning, and download them for free.

Lastly, I think this was one of the most challenging assignments we have had recently. I don't think it plays a big role in the language learning process. Although we struggled during the process, I believe we designed a good digital story. If you want to create a good digital story, I recommend designing it over an extended period and at a time when your responsibilities are fewer👌. Today, I will tell you what I learned about infographics because, in our material design class, our teacher asked us to create infographic and share it with you. Our task in the infographic we created was to choose a topic related to ethical and legal issues regarding the correct use of technology. Now, I will give you information about what an infographic is and how I prepared it.  Infography helps to make the information more understandable to the reader by reinforcing it with different symbols and diagrams. One of the most important concerns in the digital age that I have chosen to write about is security and privacy. Creating AI-integrated Teaching Material and Lesson Plan

Hello!  I’m excited to share the project we’ve been working on. For this task, we designed an engaging worksheet to help students plan a movie night using AI. We used Canva to create the worksheets, which included activities like matching sentences with genres and using ChatGPT to plan the event. Since it was a group assignment, we divided tasks to ensure everything ran smoothly. It was a fun activity to prepare, as it allowed us to combine creativity with technology, making the lesson both interactive and enjoyable for the students. Additionally, we prepared an ASSURE-based lesson plan for this task, ensuring the learning objectives and materials were carefully aligned to support student engagement.
